New to the game? This is your first ten minutes: what the game is, what to press, and how to have a good first session without getting blindsided.
Before you join
Make sure you are joining the real game: Experience Abstraction by pawlooz, Place ID 131320856116838. TADC fan games are heavily cloned, and lookalikes with near-identical names exist. Use our official links page if in doubt.
Your first session
- Spawn and stay put for a minute. You load into a bright social area themed on The Amazing Digital Circus with up to 29 other players. Nothing can hurt you while you are with the crowd in the light.
- Learn the two currencies of survival: light and company. Everything in this game reduces to those two things. Light plus people = safe. Dark or alone = abstracting.
- Watch someone abstract. Within a few minutes someone will run off to turn on purpose. Watch the visual distortion build and the transformation happen — now you understand the threat model.
- Try it yourself. Honestly, abstract on purpose in your first session. Walk into a dark area, wait, and let it happen. Knowing exactly how fast it builds makes you a far better survivor afterwards. Rejoin the server to reset.
- Play a real survival round. Now stay normal as long as you can: hold lit rooms, buddy up, and keep distance from the abstracted. Your first “last survivor” run is the best moment in the game — and there’s a whole last survivor guide when you get serious.
Controls
Standard Roblox controls — WASD to move, space to jump, shift-lock or first person recommended so you can check behind you quickly. Full details on the controls page, including mobile tips on the mobile guide.
Beginner mistakes to skip
- Treating it like a hangout game. It looks like a social hangout until the first abstraction. Stay alert after the five-minute mark.
- Exploring dark corners “just to see”. That is the darkness route. You will turn.
- Following the crowd blindly when it panics. Crowds scatter badly. Pick your own route to the nearest bright room.
