MapBest Locations in Experience Abstraction
The right spot depends on which side you’re playing. Here are the location archetypes that matter, for abstracting fast and for surviving long.
Best spots to abstract fast
- Far dark pockets — the map’s edge rooms furthest from spawn stack isolation and darkness, the fastest legitimate combo in the game.
- Dead-end dark corridors — low traffic means nobody wanders by and interrupts your isolation.
- Anywhere an abstracted player is camping — if someone turned and parked, standing with them is a zero-effort proximity abstraction.
Best spots to survive
- The main social hub — brightest room, most players, natural anti-isolation. Its weakness: everyone knows it, so late-game abstracted players besiege it.
- Secondary bright rooms with 2+ exits — your rotation targets when the hub falls. Multi-exit is non-negotiable; never defend a one-door room.
- Bright overlooked corners — if you must hide, hide in light. A lit corner off the main sightlines beats any dark closet, because the dark closet abstracts you all by itself.
Spots to never linger
- Dim connecting corridors — fine to pass through, dangerous to stop in: middling light, low traffic, and the main patrol routes for abstracted players.
- Dark hiding spots — the game’s signature trap. Hiding in darkness is just abstracting with extra steps.
- Map edges while fleeing — running from the crowd toward the edge stacks both passive triggers exactly when you can least afford them.
We keep this page archetype-based rather than naming coordinates because pawlooz’s updates can rework rooms — archetypes survive updates, specific closets don’t. Update-specific location changes land in the update log.
